The Fourth and final season of Battlestar Galactica
will begin on April 4 on SciFi. This wasn't affected by the months long writers strike. What has been affected by the strike is that the last season would have finished filming in March this year. However, with the strike being settled, production will probably restart in March, causing a delay in the second half's being aired sometime in late 2008 or early 2009.
This is disturbing but not too unexpected news for fans who haven't seen any new 'Galactica' episodes in almost a year. All they had to tie them over was the 'Razor' TV movie that aired last fall. While it was great, it was far too brief! Get on with the series already, y'all! Besides, fans have experienced splits in seasons past, with seasons 2 and 3 having been split into halves. Maybe, just maybe, the muckety-mucks at NBC will see fit to give 'Galactica' creators enough funds to do more with this exciting storyline....
In other news, Season 3 will finally debut on dvd on March 18. It will be a 6 dvd collection with 15 hours of special features, including a dvd exclusive version of the episode' Unfinished Business', with 25 bonus minutes of never before seen footage!
I'll see you in line!
